Regatta in Perth

This is my latest painting, “Regatta in Perth”.

Perth is a wonderful city, and ever since I moved here I wanted to paint the beautiful view you have of the skyline from South Perth, which is the icon of the city, and I finally did it! :) And to make it better, I decided to depict it as the background of a nice regatta scene along the Swan River. Furthermore, the people on the catamarans are my friends, enjoying a sailing day last summer.

This is definitely the painting with most details I have ever made, the biggest acrylic so far, and the first work where I include friends… love the challenges!

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. – Mark Twain
